Ah crap. It ate my comment.

Hoop has been talking nonstop about those camelbacks. Everytime we go somewhere, even if it’s just a quick walk around down town… “You know what would make this perfect? A camelback!” Although I have a sneaking suspicion he wouldn’t be filling it with water. ;)

Looking at the banner, I’m struck by this thought: Anyone else notice how often that guy pees in public?

I saw a bumper sticker months ago where that same guy was kneeling at the Cross. I thought, “Hey, good, now maybe he’ll shape up a little bit.”

But since then all I see is him peeing on more stuff. I’m thinking his conversion may not have been genuine.

You know….actually all the cyclists that I see around here have camelbacks… And I really love Tinks or Hoops idea of non water products in there. ;)

Seriously though, I have admiration for any cyclist, mountain or road biking. It’s a tremendous amount of work. I’ll stick to running….on flat ground. No hills or mountains for me. :)

Tink: I love my Camelbaks! I have so many of them because they’re so neat. I’ve got the stand alone you can bring anywhere. I’ve got big packs, small packs, in-between packs, etc. But I’ve never tried putting anything FUN into my packs. ;)

Gordan: LOL!!! Nope. I don’t think it took, either. Reminds me of a pastor friend I had early in my walk. He got arrested in Missouri, I think, for peeing on the side of the freeway. They looked alike too. ;)

EE: I still remember our discussion about putting coffee in a Camelbak so you could enjoy your runs better. Spirits would be a bit interesting in one ;)

Well, I still have admiration for those who can run like you do. I was never one for enjoying it, even when I did well. While I was in the Navy, I could maintain pretty close to a 4 minute mile. But I hated running so much. It was something I was required to do. Then again, when I first joined the Navy, my time for a mile and half was 21 minutes. That’s slower than walking. Talk about pathetic, huh?

    ….21 minutes?!?!?! Umm…LOL….

    Sorry. *ahem*

Actually the vision of you cycling while sucking down, I dunno, beer…is a fairly entertaining thought. I think you would have a bit more to worry about than cows and doors opening. ;) LMAO!

And OMG…I do still remember you thinking I should have freaking COFFEE while running….[shaking head]

EE: I know it was pretty pathetic. And the worst part was that I was a skinny fat kid. Yep, I’d walk a little, take a breather, etc.

And I don’t think I need to add the beer. I have friends who will in fact pack some beer for after the ride. I could probably do that if I didn’t usually drive. But I need all of the handling capabilities I can hold on to.

The coffee idea was pretty bad. I guess I had this impression at the time of you really, really dependent on coffee. I’m not sure why. It could be the fact that you never slept ;)

LMAO….I’ve been sleeping better. And I am really dependent on my coffee, but not so much so I RUN while chugging it! PIMP!!!
