Spend time with my son: We love to have “Daddy Time” at night. Usually I get the role of the Kissy Monster (that’s what he calls me) and he is the Huggy Monster (because that’s what he does). For some strange reason, lately, he likes riding the bull where he has me buck him off my back. Hey, it’s great for a good calf workout.
-
Ride my road bike: I’ve been missing going out riding, but I’ve had to hold off a bit. I had gotten sick with strep throat and this was quickly followed by allergies kicking in due to the change in weather. This has resulted in me having a cough for a rather extended period of time, which is only recently subsiding. I’ll probably go for one when the cleaning ladies come today. What else can I do?

Ride my mountain bike: The weather is starting to change and I’m about ready to get some nice single track in. It’s just too hard to do it when it’s in the 90′s and 100′s. Plus, I lost my riding partner for unknown reasons. This keeps me from heading to the coastal areas where it’s cooler.

Play with Barkley -
Take the motorcycles out with my pop for a ride along the coast
-
Work on some new Linux or open source “Thingy”: This always has the added benefit of generating much money from either consulting or from creating a new company.
-
Go to movies
-
Hike
-
Spend time with friends
-
Study (pretty much anything)
-
Laugh
-
Window shop at the mall: I don’t know that I necessarily love buying things these days, as I already have plenty. But I do love to just look around.
-
Take a road trip: I really don’t like to fly for personal travel. I don’t care what the rationale is. I simply love to drive and to experience new places.

Yours looks like a good life to me. I started this day in a miserable mood, but various things, and T13s like yours, have reminded me of how blessed I am. It’s ending up a pretty good day after all. Keep #1, #1. It’s over fast. Not that you don’t have great times with them when they’re older, but looking back, I realize how precious the time was when my girls were smaller.

John: Thanks for that. I really do try to enjoy my time with my son. He’s so much fun and I do love how “daddy time” has changed over the years.

That is my favorite picture of you two. You should print that one up and put it in your frame.

If my husband blogged, and didn’t put ME as one of his top 13 “things to do” and by “do” I mean “DO”……….I’d whip his butt! Go get him, Chelle! (giggling right now)
Otherwise, my favorite is #11, it fits just about all the others
. A man who shops is definitely a keeper.

Laurel: Thanks for the comment. I do love to shop. I think I’m quite good at it. I’m certainly good at eyeing fashion.
Robin:
As I said to Laurel, I totally love to shop. It’s a blast for me. But don’t ever take me into Home Depot. I hate that type of shopping.

Trying to teach Barkley how to drive?

Chelle: I’m assuming you mean the pic of Brendan and me, not Barkley and me

David: Of course I am. But he already is pretty good at it. He does struggle to touch the pedals, though
